We are seeking to add a CNC Machinist who will play a key role in our continued success.

Position Description & Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and program (Conversational - Mazatrol) Mazak QT Lathe machines
• Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal, as well as written instructions.
• Operate various types of computerized numerical controls to manufacturer a finished machined product by performing a wide range of machining operations within tight tolerances.
• Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine work pieces into the desired shapes.
• Work with supervisor, programmer, and support teams to resolve problem situations as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Minimum of 2 years' experience required

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Manual Lathe experience a plus
• Use a variety of measuring equipment such as calipers, I.D, O.D micrometers, thread gauges, dial bores, etc.
• Read and understand blue prints and follow setup/ process sheets
• Ability to use a variety of mills, drill presses, and equipment including tumblers, hoists, wrenches, tool holders, vices, etc.
• Advanced math skills including calculations of feeds, speeds, and distances, print conversion, geometry and trigonometry.
• Understand machining properties of various raw materials (S7, 1018, 4140, etc)
• Use a variety of measuring equipment such as calipers, I.D, O.D micrometers, thread gauges, dial bores, etc.
• Working knowledge of deburring, chamfering and measuring equipment
• Good communication skills including the ability to give and receive oral and written instruction.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift
• Follow safety requirements, perform daily maintenance, inspect machinery and product for quality.
