CNC Lathe and/or Machining Center Operator

Tibor Machine Products is a leader in the contract machining industry. As one of the Midwest’s largest machining companies, Tibor Machine Products can handle volumes from prototype to production. We are currently seeking a CNC Lathe and/or Machining Center Operator to join our team in Bridgeview, IL.

The ideal candidate will work with (CNC) machinery to safely operate and produce parts and tools from metal. May operate machinery including CNC lathes as well as vertical and horizontal machining centers.

Position Highlights

• Operates CNC machinery including mills, lathes to produce high-quality parts.
• Monitors machine operation continuously to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and alerts setup personnel or supervisors to necessary adjustments.
• Reviews blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Measures and inspects finished parts to verify conformance and ensure they meet strict specifications.
• Loads and secures raw materials and components into holding fixtures and feeding mechanisms.
• Maintains safe operations by strictly adhering to company safety procedures and regulations.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and keeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Performs other duties within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Position Requirements

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2+ years of experience operating CNC machines.
• Language: Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Machine Familiarity: Familiarity running Mori Seiki, Okuma, and Haas machines is a plus.
• Precision: Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections using basic measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Supervision: Ability to perform standard operating duties with a minimum of direct supervision.
• Teamwork: Willingness to work in a collaborative, team environment.
• Flexibility: Ability to work overtime as required.
