Roll Summary:The primary goal of a CNC operator is to produce high-quality components safely and efficiently by following blueprints and program instructions. They monitor machines during production and act as the first line of defense against errors or equipment failure.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: load raw materials, mount cutting tools, ad secure workpieces into the machine.
Operation & Monitoring: start machine cycles, check feed rates and speeds.
Quality Control: read blueprints, technical drawings and schematics to measure finished items using presision tools like calipers and micrometers.
Maintenance & Safety: clean the work area, clear chip bins and posibley preform light equipment maintenance. Follow safety protocols. Report malfunctions to the supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: high school diploma or equivalent. technical training or certification in machining a plus.
Experience: minimum 1 yr training or on the job experience.
Skills: ability to read and interpret blueprints. Basic math skill for measuring tolerances. Familiarity with basic computer navigation and CNC controls.
Pay based on experience.
