Machinist Apprentice

Looking for Machinist Apprentice to work with our Chief machinist to learn the skills of machining and proper machine assembly.

Position Duties:

• Deburring Parts
• Material Cutting and preparation
• Loading and unloading of parts into a CNC mill.
• Material pickup as well as part drop off
  • Must have valid driver’s license to use company vehicle.
• Light assembly

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean work area by daily cleaning of machines.
• Assist in other areas as needed
• Uses precision measuring instruments to check finished workpiece dimensions & ensures conformance to specifications

Requirements

• 1 years of Experience in machine shop preferred.
• Able to read blueprints preferred.
• Know how to use measuring instruments and gauges.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production shop.
• Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with metal fabricating equipment.
