Position Purpose

Established Manufacturing Print Shop looking to add dynamic, detail orientated Small Offset Operator with proven track record for getting results. Produce high quality printed product using the offset printing method. Will be responsible for setting-up, operating, and maintaining a small offset press. This candidate will also learn to operate other small machinery within the Print Shop.  Hours M-F 2p - 10p

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete imprinted placard schedule meeting SLA
  • Create plates using Offset Platemaker.
  • Set up press and mount plates
  • Fill ink fountain
  • Print jobs.
  • Complete required production quality inspections
  • Produce high quality work.
  • Packing and Labeling
  • Work with Quality Department ensuring product standards met.
  • Notify Manager, Maintenance Technician, or IT Department of mechanical/printing problems immediately.

Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired
  • Knowledge of Flexographic Printing
  • 3-5 Years Manufacturing Press Operator Experience
  • Reasoning ability – Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving many concrete variables in standardized and un-standardized situations
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturday’s when needed
  • Team Player-willingness to assist others
  • Ability to accurately count
  • Ability to communicate English
  • Ability to read/write English

Education/Training/Experience

  • Previous offset experience desired
